  • 1 Rolling Pin to roll dough into rectangle

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk about 110°F
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries diced
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/4 cup strawberry jam for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Activate the yeast by combining it with warm milk and 1/4 cup sugar; let it sit until frothy.
  • Mix melted butter, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of flour into the yeast mixture.
  • Gradually add remaining flour, kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and allow to rise for about 1 hour.
  • Combine softened butter, sugar, and cinnamon to create the cinnamon filling.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Roll out the risen dough into a 16x12 inch rectangle.
  • Spread the cinnamon butter mixture over the dough, then layer with cream cheese mixture and sprinkle diced strawberries evenly.
  • Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 slices.
  • Place slices in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to prepare the glaze; add strawberry jam if desired.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the warm cinnamon rolls before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberries for best flavor and texture.
  • Adding strawberry jam to glaze intensifies fruitiness.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated and reheat gently for softness.
