Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  • Pour the sauce over the chicken, coating it evenly.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks.
  • Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir to combine with the sauce.
  • Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
