1 oven preheated to 450 degrees F
1 baking sheet for roasting cabbage wedges
1 brush to apply olive oil
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- ½ head green cabbage cut into 4 wedges
- 1 pinch garlic powder or to taste
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes or to taste
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 2 lemons halved
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
Brush both sides of each cabbage wedge with olive oil.
Sprinkle garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper over each wedge.
Arrange the cabbage wedges on a baking sheet.
Roast in the oven for 15 minutes.
Flip the cabbage wedges and continue roasting for about 15 more minutes until browned and charred in spots.
Remove from oven, squeeze lemon juice over each wedge, and serve immediately.
- Keep the core attached to the cabbage wedges to help them hold together while roasting.
