Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup dried chopped dates
  • 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 36 savory crackers

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven and arrange the crackers in a single layer on a cookie sheet.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped pecans, chopped dates, and sweetened condensed milk; cook and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Spread the pecan-date mixture over each cracker and allow to cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the cream cheese frosting over each topped cracker and serve.

Notes

  • Use different nuts or dried fruits for variation.
