Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cans 20 oz each pineapple chunks, drained
  • 8 oz cream cheese cut into small pieces

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place butter in a 9x13-inch glass baking dish and melt it in the oven; remove once melted.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour batter directly over the melted butter without stirring to create cobbler layers.
  • Spread pineapple chunks evenly over the batter.
  • Distribute cream cheese pieces evenly on top of the pineapple.
  • Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown, edges bubble, and center is set.
  • Allow to cool slightly, then serve warm plain or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
