Equipment

  • 1 medium casserole dish or oven-safe braiser

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup sliced green onions
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 –4 tablespoons chili crisp optional
  • 2 cups broth or water
  • cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 14 –20 frozen dumplings depending on dish size
  • 2 cups broccoli florets trimmed into small pieces

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a medium casserole dish or oven-safe braiser.
  • Pour the broth into the baking dish and whisk in peanut butter, minced garlic, soy sauce, and rice vinegar until mostly smooth.
  • Place the frozen dumplings flat-side down into the sauce and spoon some sauce over each dumpling to coat.
  • Arrange the broccoli florets around the dumplings, ensuring they are partially covered by the sauce.
  • Cover the dish with a lid or foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the cover and stir the sauce gently. Let the dish sit uncovered for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Sprinkle with green onions, cilantro, sesame seeds, and chili crisp if desired before serving.
  • Serve directly from the baking dish and enjoy.

Notes

  • Adjust chili crisp to control spice level.
  • Use frozen dumplings for even baking.
