Ingredients
  

  • 1 large bag tortilla chips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 500 g about 1.1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin optional
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 small tomato diced
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Optional toppings: jalapeños green onions, olives

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.
  • Add ground beef, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cumin. Cook until beef is browned and cooked through.
  • Arrange tortilla chips evenly on a large serving plate.
  • Spread cooked beef evenly over the chips, then sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  • Add diced tomatoes and dollops of sour cream over the top.
  • Serve immediately while warm.
