Equipment

  • 1 bowl
  • 1 Grill or Skillet
  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 skillet or microwave for warming tortillas

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound flank steak thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 lime cut into wedges

Instructions

  • Combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper in a bowl; divide marinade between steak and shrimp, coating well.
  • Let steak and shrimp marinate separately for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook steak slices for 2 to 3 minutes per side until desired doneness, then remove and let rest.
  • Cook shrimp in the same pan for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and opaque, then remove from heat.
  • In a small bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and hot sauce to create the creamy sauce.
  • Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  • Assemble tacos by layering steak, shrimp, shredded cabbage, cilantro, and drizzle with creamy sauce.
  • Serve tacos with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Marinate steak and shrimp separately to prevent overcooking.
  • Use fresh lime juice for a bright, tangy flavor.
  • Substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
