  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup mini pepperoni or cooked sausage optional

  • Roll out the dough and cut into 4x4 inch squares or circles.
  • Spread a small spoonful of marinara sauce on each dough piece, leaving the edges clear.
  • Add mozzarella, Parmesan, and any desired toppings on top of the sauce.
  • Sprinkle Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes over the filling.
  • Fold the dough over to form a pocket and seal the edges using a fork.
  • Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with dried oregano or garlic powder.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Cool slightly before serving and enjoy with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Crescent dough yields a flakier, lighter pocket perfect for snacks.
  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  • Freeze assembled pockets before baking; add a few extra minutes to cook from frozen.
