1 large pot for melting butter and marshmallows
2 12-cup muffin tin pans lightly greased for molding nests
1 rubber spatula for mixing ingredients
1 zipper top bag for coloring shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 20 oz mini marshmallows
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 9 oz Rice Krispies cereal
- 3 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
- gel food coloring of your choice
- 1 1/2 cup Nutella hazelnut spread
- 108 mini Cadbury eggs
Heat a large pot over low heat and melt the butter with salt.
Add 1 1/2 bags of mini marshmallows and stir constantly until melted.
Remove from heat, then stir in vanilla extract and salt.
Add half of the Rice Krispies cereal and gently mix until coated.
Fold in the remaining cereal and marshmallows until fully combined.
Lightly grease two 12-cup muffin tins with cooking spray.
Scoop 3-4 tablespoons of mixture and mold into muffin tin cups to form nests.
Allow nests to set for 30 minutes to hold their shape.
Place shredded coconut and food coloring in a zipper bag and shake to color evenly.
Top each nest with a tablespoon of Nutella spread.
Sprinkle colored coconut over Nutella and place three mini Cadbury eggs in each nest.
Carefully remove nests from muffin tins and serve.
- Leave an indentation in nests for Nutella topping.
