Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1/2 cup jalapeño pickled slices
  • 1/4 whole onion
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 2 hamburger buns
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Place ground meat in a mixing bowl and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Form the seasoned meat into four burger patties.
  • Cook the patties in a skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes, then flip.
  • Add sliced cheese to patties and cook for an additional 5 minutes until melted.
  • Cook bacon in the skillet for 10 to 14 minutes, turning frequently.
  • Chop onions and cook with jalapeños in skillet for 3 minutes; remove excess grease as desired.
  • Toast hamburger buns in skillet with 2 teaspoons of reserved grease for 1 to 2 minutes or until golden.
  • Alternatively, cook patties on an inside grill for 4 minutes, flip, add cheese, and melt for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Grill bacon for 8 minutes and grill onions with jalapeños for 2 minutes.
  • Lightly brush buns with grease and grill for 30 seconds on each side without pressing.
  • Assemble burgers by layering patties, bacon, jalapeños, onions, and toasted buns.

Notes

  • Use ground beef with a higher fat content for juicier patties.
  • Adjust jalapeño amount for desired spice level.
  • Store leftovers wrapped in foil for up to 2 days.
