  • 1 microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt or dairy-free coconut yogurt for vegan option
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup can be omitted or swapped for agave
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Chopped nuts or sprinkles optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Slice bananas into 1/2-inch thick pieces and freeze on a parchment-lined baking sheet for about 1 hour until firm.
  • Blend frozen banana slices with Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a food processor until smooth and creamy.
  • Scoop the banana mixture into bite-sized rounds on the parchment-lined tray using a spoon or cookie scoop.
  • Freeze the bites for at least 2 hours until fully firm.
  • Melt dark chocolate chips with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over the frozen banana bites and add optional nuts or sprinkles quickly before the chocolate sets.
  • Return the bites to the freezer for 30 minutes to let the chocolate harden completely.
  • Serve the frozen banana split bites straight from the freezer.

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas with brown spots for best creaminess.
  • Freeze banana slices before blending to avoid ice crystals.
  • Mix coconut oil with chocolate for a glossy finish.
  • Work quickly when drizzling chocolate to prevent fast hardening.
  • Store leftovers in airtight container in freezer up to 2 weeks.
  • Let soften 5 minutes before serving; avoid microwaving after freezing.
