  • 1 cup cold apple cider or sparkling apple cider
  • Red apple slices for garnish
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 whole star anise
  • Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling

Instructions
 

  • Fill a tall glass about two-thirds full with vanilla bean ice cream.
  • Slowly pour chilled apple cider or sparkling apple cider over the ice cream, controlling foam if using sparkling cider.
  • Garnish with red apple slices, a cinnamon stick, and whole star anise.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the float.
