Description

This is the kind of dessert you break out when you want all the indulgence. It’s a layered masterpiece of creamy vanilla and chocolate ice cream, gooey caramel, rich fudge, and crunchy pecans. Think turtle candies, but way cooler—and frozen.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream (softened)

  • 1/2 gallon chocolate ice cream (softened)

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans (toasted for extra flavor, optional)

  • 1 1/2 cups caramel sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups hot fudge sauce

  • Crushed chocolate cookies or brownie chunks (optional, for a base layer)

  • Whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Start the Layers
In a large 9×13″ dish or springform pan, spread a layer of softened vanilla ice cream. Freeze for 30 minutes or until firm.

Step 2: Add the Turtle Magic
Top with half the caramel, half the fudge sauce, and half the chopped pecans. Freeze again until set.

Step 3: Repeat
Add a layer of chocolate ice cream, then the rest of the caramel, fudge, and pecans. Freeze until fully firm—at least 2 hours, or overnight.

Step 4: Serve It Up
Let it sit for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Add whipped cream, more sauce, or extra pecans if you’re going all out.

Notes

– Drizzle with warm fudge and caramel before serving
– Add a cherry on top for sundae vibes
– Serve in bowls with crushed waffle cone pieces
– Top with sea salt for a sweet-salty twist
– Serve with a shot of espresso over the top for an affogato-style treat
