Description

This Spicy Bacon Grilled Cheese sandwich combines the classic comfort of grilled cheese with a kick of spice and savory bacon. Perfect for a quick lunch or a late-night snack!

Ingredients

Scale

4 slices of bread (your choice: sourdough, white, or whole grain)
4 slices of cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
4 slices of cooked bacon
1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
1 teaspoon of hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon of butter

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and hot sauce to create a spicy spread.
2. Spread the spicy mayonnaise mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
3. On two slices of bread (the non-spread side), layer two slices of cheese and two slices of bacon.
4. Top with the remaining two slices of bread, spread side up.
5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt half the butter in it.
6. Carefully place one sandwich in the skillet. Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, adding more butter if necessary.
7. Repeat with the second sandwich.
8. Once both sandwiches are done, let them rest for a minute before slicing in half and serving.
