Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
4 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, and salt until smooth.
3. Stir in the chopped parsley and black pepper.
4. In a cast-iron skillet or oven-safe pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the crumbled sausage and cook until browned.
5. Pour the batter over the sausage in the skillet.
6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing.
8. Serve warm with additional herbs or a sprinkle of cheese if desired.
Notes
This dish can be customized by adding your favorite vegetables or different types of sausage. Make sure to serve immediately as it will deflate as it cools.
