Description

If you’ve ever had a classic Monte Cristo sandwich — that glorious mix of ham, turkey, cheese, and a touch of sweetness — you’ll love these Monte Cristo Sliders. Imagine all that deliciousness packed into a bite-sized, slider-friendly form, perfect for parties, game day, or just a fun dinner. These sliders are savory, cheesy, and just the right amount of sweet from the tangy jam, all wrapped in a buttery, toasted roll. They’re the perfect combination of everything you love about the classic sandwich but made for easy snacking. Trust us, they’ll be gone in no time.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 12 slider rolls (like Hawaiian rolls or any soft dinner rolls)

  • 6 slices deli ham

  • 6 slices deli turkey

  • 12 slices Swiss cheese (or your favorite cheese)

  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

  • 1/4 cup raspberry jam (or strawberry, depending on your preference)

  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing the baking dish)

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing the tops)

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat and Prep

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter to prevent the sliders from sticking.

Step 2: Assemble the Sliders

Place the slider rolls in the prepared baking dish, keeping them connected. Using a serrated knife, slice the whole set of rolls horizontally, so you have a top and a bottom. You’ll have a long sheet of rolls.

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the bottom half of the rolls. Then, spread Dijon mustard on the top half. On the bottom layer, layer the ham slices, turkey slices, and Swiss cheese slices. Close the rolls with the top layer, and set them aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Brush the butter mixture generously over the top of the sliders.

Step 4: Bake

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the sliders are heated through and the cheese has melted. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to let the tops become golden and slightly crispy.

Step 5: Serve with Jam

Once the sliders are ready, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a minute or two. Slice the sliders into individual pieces, and serve with extra raspberry or strawberry jam on the side for dipping.

Notes

These Monte Cristo Sliders are perfect on their own, but you can make them into a full meal with:

  • A light green salad to balance out the richness of the sliders.

  • Crispy sweet potato fries or regular fries for a classic diner-style meal.

  • A refreshing pickle on the side to add a tangy contrast to the sweetness of the jam
