Description
Imagine if your favorite cheeseburger, crispy bacon, and gooey mac and cheese had a baby—and then that baby got rolled up in soft, golden dough and baked to perfection. That’s what Mac Cheese Bacon Burger Rolls are all about. They’re cheesy, meaty, smoky, and ridiculously fun to eat. Think of them as the ultimate party snack, game-day must-have, or just a way to shake up your regular dinner routine. Plus, they’re handheld, so no fork required (unless you’re fancy like that). Basically: they’re as epic as they sound.
Ingredients
For the Filling:
1 lb ground beef
Salt + pepper to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
6 slices cooked crispy bacon, chopped
1 1/2 cups prepared mac and cheese (leftover or fresh works!)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar (or your fave melty cheese)
For the Dough:
1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Flour for dusting
For Finishing:
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds (optional)
Dipping sauce: ketchup, ranch, BBQ—live your best life
Instructions
In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper until cooked through.
Drain any excess grease and let it cool slightly.
Chop your crispy bacon.
If you’re making fresh mac and cheese, now’s the time. Otherwise, grab those leftovers from the fridge.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
On a floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a large rectangle (about 12×15 inches).
Spread a layer of mac and cheese over the dough, leaving about 1 inch at the edges.
Top evenly with ground beef, bacon, and shredded cheddar.
Starting from the long side, roll the dough up like a jelly roll. Pinch the seam to seal.
Slice the log into 8–10 rolls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden, bubbly, and gorgeous.
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces. Prepare for silence as people devour.
Notes
Serve with a crisp green salad to balance the richness.
Pair with fries, tater tots, or even a bowl of tomato soup for dunking.
Make it a full spread with pickles, chips, and cold drinks.
