This delicious ham and cheese croissant recipe is perfect for breakfast or a snack. Flaky, buttery croissants filled with savory ham and melted cheese make for a delightful treat.
Ingredients
4 large croissants
4 slices of ham
4 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or your preference)
2 tablespoons of butter (softened)
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Slice each croissant in half lengthwise.
3. Spread softened butter on the inside of each croissant.
4. If using, spread Dijon mustard on the bottom half of each croissant.
5. Layer a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on top of the mustard.
6. Close the croissants and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the croissants are golden brown.
Notes
Feel free to add additional ingredients like spinach or tomatoes for extra flavor. Serve warm for the best taste!
