Description

Deliciously flaky pastry filled with a creamy spinach mixture, perfect as an appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
1 cup fresh spinach (chopped)
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 egg (beaten for egg wash)


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. In a bowl, combine chopped spinach, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares (about 3×3 inches).
4. Place a spoonful of the spinach mixture in the center of each square.
5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket and seal edges with a fork.
6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm as an appetizer or snack. You can add herbs like dill or parsley for extra flavor.
