Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (85/15 or leaner)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (16-oz) package potato gnocchi
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 (14-oz) can diced tomatoes, drained
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter (for extra richness)
- Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish
- Pickles (optional, for serving)
Instructions
1. Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed. Add diced onions and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.
2. Simmer the Gnocchi:
Add the beef broth, diced tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Stir to combine. Add the gnocchi, bring to a gentle simmer, and cover. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the gnocchi is tender.
3. Make It Creamy:
Reduce the heat to low, then stir in the heavy cream and butter. Add the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
4. Serve & Garnish:
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions. Serve with pickles for an authentic cheeseburger taste.
Notes
- Want extra cheesiness? Add more cheddar or top with crispy bacon.
- Spice it up with diced jalapeños or hot sauce.
