Description

Cheesy Chicken Crescent Bake is the kind of cozy, comforting dish that feels like a warm hug after a long day. Imagine tender pieces of chicken wrapped inside buttery, flaky crescent rolls, all smothered in a creamy, cheesy sauce that bubbles up perfectly in the oven. This is pure comfort food magic. It’s ridiculously easy to throw together, thanks to a few shortcut ingredients, but the result feels homemade and extra special. It is one of those recipes that disappears fast whenever you serve it—whether it is a casual weeknight dinner, a cozy Sunday meal, or a potluck with friends.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped (rotisserie works great)

  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls (8-count)

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley for a pop of color

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat and Prep

Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.

Step 2: Fill the Crescents

Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Place a spoonful of cooked chicken and a sprinkle of shredded cheese at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up each crescent, starting at the wide end and rolling toward the point, enclosing the filling. Place them seam side down in the prepared baking dish.

Step 3: Make the Sauce

In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth. Pour this creamy mixture evenly over the crescent rolls in the baking dish.

Step 4: Top with Cheese

Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the top of everything. This will melt into a golden, cheesy blanket as it bakes.

Step 5: Bake It Up

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and the sauce is bubbling around the edges. Let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving so the sauce thickens slightly.

Notes

Serve your Cheesy Chicken Crescent Bake with:

  • A simple green salad with vinaigrette to balance the richness

  • Roasted veggies like broccoli, carrots, or green beans

  • A cozy bowl of tomato soup for the ultimate comfort combo

  • A little hot sauce or sriracha on the side if you like a spicy kick

It is hearty enough to stand alone but plays really nicely with a light side.
