Description

It’s basically loaded fries with a fast food twist. Think crispy fries covered in seasoned ground beef, gooey cheddar, diced onions, shredded lettuce, pickles, and a drizzle of homemade Big Mac sauce. It’s all the things you crave in one skillet or sheet pan.

Ingredients

For the base
1 bag frozen French fries (about 20–24 oz), cooked until crispy
½ lb ground beef
½ tsp salt
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp black pepper

Toppings
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup diced white onion
½ cup shredded lettuce
¼ cup chopped pickles (dill, not sweet)
Sesame seeds (optional, for Big Mac vibes)

For the special sauce
½ cup mayo
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp finely chopped pickles or relish
1 tsp white vinegar
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Pinch of paprika

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Sauce
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Taste and adjust. Chill in the fridge while everything else cooks.

Step 2: Cook the Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with salt, garlic powder, and pepper until cooked through and crumbly. Drain excess grease.

Step 3: Bake the Fries
Cook the fries according to the package directions until golden and crispy. Spread them out on a large oven-safe platter or sheet pan.

Step 4: Assemble the Magic
Sprinkle cooked beef over the hot fries. Add cheddar cheese and pop it back in the oven for a few minutes until melty.

Step 5: Top It Off
Remove from oven and add shredded lettuce, diced onions, pickles, sesame seeds, and plenty of Big Mac sauce. Serve immediately—fork optional.

Notes

Use sweet potato fries for a sweet-savory contrast
Swap ground beef for ground turkey or plant-based crumbles
Add sliced tomatoes or even bacon if you’re feeling wild
