Ingredients

For the Chicken:
– 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb total)
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– Salt + pepper to taste

For the Breading Station:
– 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 large egg
– 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup grated parmesan (optional, but highly recommended)
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
– Pinch of cayenne (optional, for a little kick)


Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Chicken
Pound chicken breasts to even thickness (about 1/2 inch). Pat dry, rub with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Set Up the Breading Station
– Plate 1: flour
– Plate 2: beaten egg
– Plate 3: panko, parmesan, and seasonings mixed together

Dip each chicken breast in flour, then egg, then press into the breadcrumb mix until fully coated.

Step 3: Air Fry That Chicken
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
Spray the basket lightly with oil. Place chicken in (don’t crowd it—do batches if needed).
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through (internal temp should hit 165°F/74°C).

Step 4: Serve It Up
Let rest 2–3 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, over a salad, or tucked into a sandwich bun with pickles.
